Sortimo, the market leader for mobile van racking systems, is offering its trade and industry customers a new telescopic restraint pole, that is a space-saving and flexible solution for day-to-day work. It also enables loads to be transported more easily in compliance with load securing regulations. A further benefit: the poles are compatible with the Sortimo ProClick system for mobile working, ergonomics and freedom of movement. The new telescopic restraint poles and the appropriate fixing rails are immediately available from Sortimo branches and partners, or can be ordered in the configurator and online shop at: www.mysortimo.co.uk
The length of the Sortimo telescopic restraint pole can be flexibly adjusted. The telescopic restraint poles can therefore be used throughout fleets of vehicles with similar load compartment sizes and continue to be used should vehicles change. The eccentric shape of the telescopic restraint pole is unique, enabling it to rotate should the load move between the restraint poles when the vehicle accelerates or brakes. This rotation shortens the distance between the poles, braking the load. The sturdy plastic protective sleeve of the restraint pole also helps to protect the load: it cannot become caught or tilt should the vehicle brake heavily.
Blends perfectly into the Sortimo EcoSystem: compatible with ProClick and ProSafe
These telescopic restraint poles are compatible with all Sortimo ProSafe load securing points in the floor, the cross members of the Sortimo van racking systems, and the lashing rails. This is beneficial in that they can also be clamped between the vehicle racks, without the costly integration of additional components. A further positive aspect is the time savings gained when fitting out the vehicle and also in its daily use. The compatibility of the poles with the ProClick system is unique: trades persons and service technicians can simply hang their popular ProClick Tool bags into the restraint poles using two integrated interfaces. This enables lashing belts, tools or other equipment to be stowed ready to hand and quickly accessible. This compatibility of the system enables the telescopic restraint poles to be perfectly integrated into the existing Sortimo EcoSystem, offering added value for optimised and more productive workflows.
Easy to use and maximum safety
The telescopic restraint poles can be fixed into the vehicle vertically and horizontally, guaranteeing positive-locking load securing depending on the type of load. When installed vertically, the restraint pole can be instantly fitted by inserting it into the fixing rail on the roof beam and into the floor lashing point, so that the load can be transported safely and securely. When installed horizontally, the restraint pole is inserted into the ProSafe cross members of the van racking system or to the side wall cladding and thus remains in position. In the event that the restraint pole is not used, its length can be reduced allowing it to be stored compactly using a storage bracket or tray – saving valuable space in the vehicle.
"Customers benefit from improved load securing"
"We are offering our customers even more flexibility and safety in their day-to-day work with the telescopic restraint pole. They benefit from the many different and improved load securing options and customised usage of the load compartment. The new products also complement Sortimo's professional ProSafe range for optimum load securing and underline our efforts to continuously develop innovative products within our EcoSystem. We are thereby constantly generating added value that will lead to improved productivity in daily work," explains Robert Bissinger, Product Marketing Manager at Sortimo International GmbH.
